As I Touch Life
Published in Paperback by Chicago Spectrum Press (January, 2001)
Average review score:

Wonderful! The author of this incredible book of poetry touched my heart with her deep insight into life and how it effects every human being. I keep it on my nightstand and find myself reading the poems over and over. It gives me comfort to find that someone else feels as I do about life.

Assault and matrimony
Published in Unknown Binding by Chivers North Amer ()
Average review score:

Understated humorSylvia and Edgar have been married for twenty-four years but during the past few years they have come to detest each other. Instead of getting a divorce they each decide to kill the other. Luckily, neither Sylvia or Edgar is very good at planning murder and each of them makes several unsuccessful attempts on the other. The mystery in this book is not who the killer is but is instead whether either of them succeeds in their diabolical plot. This is a gentle, humorous read and I enjoyed it very much.

Packs in anecdotes, diagrams, and plenty of historySusan and Steven Willis' Astronomy: Looking At The Stars provides a history of the science, showing how early astronomers created the foundations for theories and changed their fields. At Last Round Up
Published in Paperback by Small Press Distribution (October, 1996)
Average review score:

Anderson Swings: Afro-Surrealism and that jazz impulseI really enjoyed this chapbook. Anderson is obviously one of the most underrated poets in this country. His work is very musical and his language is charged with surralism. The syntax takes on unexpected turns in the title poem. He also writes about his experiences in Egypt. The work is never cliched. He has an eye for the linear Nile and hears it through a Coltrane improvisation. Who and where is this guy and why doesn't he have more books?

Atlas of Normal Roentgen Variants That May Simulate Disease
Published in Hardcover by Mosby (August, 2001)
Average review score:

Invaluable radiographic reference!Although the title of this book sounds extremely dry, unapproachable, and cumbersome, this book is a well-organized compilation of every type of unusual looking radiograph for every part of the human body. In my job as an Army physical therapist, I commonly have to screen plain radiographs. This reference has been invaluable to myself and others that work in my clinic, especially when evaluating foot and ankle films. There are several (more than a dozen) accessory bones that may be present, and these are all very well mapped out, each with a radiographic example, explanation, and key points to consider when evaluating each specific view. Excellent reference text!!

Bacon: The New Organon
Published in Paperback by Prentice Hall (01 January, 1960)
Average review score:

Bacon provides a basis for Science as we know itWhat can be said? He's a great mind, and this is challenging and beautiful stuff. Bacon's got a lot of foresight, and he puts in a lot of substantial points on the way to his outline of a new method for science. This edition of the book is a bit flimsy, but the translation is good (it's taken from an earlier, canonized translation).

Basic Spanish: Essentials for Mastery
Published in Hardcover by Harpercollins College Div (March, 1982)
Average review score:

#1 format to learn a new languageThe format used in this book to teach you a new language is absolutely the best! Each chapter starts with a new verb and all its conjugations, introduces some nouns, some appropriate dialog and so on. The chapters, verbs and nouns progress through the book in an intelligent, well thought out manner. No nonsense and stupid situations about the train breaking down or landing on the moon or finding your lost sock and so on. I learned Spanish in 3 months with this book and some hard work. Now, I hope they publish this format for French and German.
